Archiving Policy
SYNTIA is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. To safeguard the journal’s scholarly record, SYNTIA utilizes multiple archiving and preservation systems.
Digital Preservation
The journal’s contents are securely stored and preserved using the following mechanisms:

LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe):
Ensures distributed, decentralized archiving across participating libraries and institutions to guarantee permanent access. -
CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe):
Provides an additional layer of secure, community-governed archiving to protect content in the event of catastrophic loss. -
Institutional Repositories:
Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit their published articles in institutional or subject-based repositories, including preprint and postprint versions, with proper citation to the original source.
Self-Archiving Policy (Green Open Access)
Authors are allowed to archive the following versions of their work:

Preprint (submitted version) — allowed immediately

Postprint (accepted version) — allowed immediately

Published version (PDF) — allowed immediately, with a link to the journal’s official version
All archived versions must include proper citation and acknowledgment of the original publication in SYNTIA.
Permanent Availability
The journal ensures that all articles remain permanently accessible on the website, even if the journal ceases publication, through third-party preservation systems.
